初级美国针灸师时薪18美金左右，年薪4万美金不是梦，随着资历的提升，年薪也会高达13万美金。这是个 “越老越值钱”的行业，而且在美国越来越多的人崇尚针灸这种中医治疗（理疗）。Dr.Li还介绍说： “针灸师这份工作，吸引的不仅仅是占据了先天优势的中国人，连参加考试的美国人也很多，而且美国的中医学院也很多， 美国还是蛮鼓励本国人学中医的。考试遇到的美国人也蛮热爱中国文化，学得还很起劲。我们这里（美国）的中医诊所主要病员也是美国人。”
